Living trends: what are we seeing in interiors now?
The trends of 2023 are inspired by developments in the world. A sense of security, comfort and safety are clearly visible in the new colours and materials. There is a need for a new safe start after the pandemic. But we do not play it too safe: we look for clear contrasts in colour, material and shape, and seek excitement in details and accessories.
In the basics, we do not use striking colours, but we remain calm, relaxed and comfortable. Soft, round, friendly and modest are words that describe the interior at the moment. A good base is always a natural shade, combined with accent colours such as salmon pink or terra. But we are going to add real colour accents to the interior: so we are not afraid of a loveseat, ottoman or cushion in striking colours such as red or green . We dare a little more now that life is back on track!
Cuddly and organic: Teddy
Shapes and materials with a natural look and fine tactility, which you can feel, are all the rage. Round shapes with a high cuddliness factor are seen a lot. We need soft and natural materials so that we feel safe. We see more depth and life in the fabrics. We are also going to combine materials within a piece of furniture or furniture arrangement: fabric in combination with papercord, rib in contrast with bouclé fabric . The soft shapes and materials will remain for a while, and from now on we will also combine them more with somewhat harder graphic lines and pronounced colours in accessories. So we are looking for contrast in the choice of material, colour and shape.

The latest trend colours
Colors that we see a lot this fall and are expected to see in 2023 are Red and Orange. These are earth tones and create atmosphere and warmth in your interior. The warm palette provides safety and security. Brown is back in your interior and green tones are still subtly coming back. Natural shades are very visible. These colours are subdued, warm and easy to combine with accent colours. The trend colours and fabrics that have been popular for a while and are still not decreasing in popularity are velvet, grey shades, blue and ochre. The latter are somewhat less striking and more subdued.
